Another pic from my streetlight shoot of last night. This shot was handheld, so it's at 1600. But noise levels aren't necessarily indicative of normal camera performance, because I had to jump through some hoops to avoid burned out streetlights. Here I went with -2 stops exposure comp, then pulled back highlights and white point more in conversion to bring the streetlight down to a manageable level. I also pushed the shadows quite a bit brighter and increased midrange contrast. That gave me a look that I think retained the feeling of night, tamed the streetlight bulb and gave the other details plenty of illumination. In any case, I like what's going on here with the people in the restaurant and the overall mood.
