Actually I was supposed to be shooting in the other direction, toward Ghirardelli Square. Did some of that but found the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz on the other side of the pier. It's an extremely good location, which I wouldn't have known about without the teacher. I don't go to "The City" often. But, yes, it's nice that I am close enough to go now and then. Marnie, You're lucky to have such beautiful vistas to photograph. The bridge is stunning over the water and under the sunset sky.
