It's a great lens!  It, and the K24/3.5 are considered to be excellent. 
Some say the 3.5 has a minimal amount less distortion, but I've not
found any objectionable distortion in my sample of the 2.8 - it's a
keeper!  

Be sure to get a good lens hood for it, though.  It's wide enough that
you've got to be careful about stray light.  The Nikon HN-1 and HN-2 are
good choices.  I prefer the HN-2 as it's a little deeper, but it may
vignette if you use a pol filter or a really thick filter.  I've not
encountered vignetting, but I don't use filters too often.
