Friends, it was brought to my attention a couple of months ago that one
of our own has fallen into a certain amount of need, and I would like to
help if I can.
With this in mind, I am passing the virtual hat around in an attempt to
raise a bit of cash for one of our members who is near and dear to all
of our hearts.
I'm still working out the details of how to help out, and so I am not
asking for anything right now other than a pledge so that I will know if
I can go forwards or not.

I'll wait a few days to see who can do what, and I will also ensure that
anyone who is able to help will be informed of the details.
