My goal was to separate the post from the trees in the background, it wasn't until I was processing it that I realized how much of that I could do by frobbing the curves controls. Unfortunately, as I've mentioned, I've been trying to be a lot more conservative with my shutter actuations. I only took three attempts at this, though two were bracketed because of the high contrast between the light and the dark.
