I used to think I needed a hood all the time, until I compared what I
shot with SMC lenses on my Spotmatic to what a friend was shooting with
with his Nikkormat. I stopped worrying quite so much.

hehe no biggie, just too bad I have none of those. all other hoods I
own are bayonet. can anyone comment on how much the m50/1.7 actually
/needs/ a hood when the sun is a bit ... well muted... like it mostly
is in these parts?
