I went to a party at my friend Candace's last night. She has a K2000, and we spent some quality time with my showing her how to do some stuff with her camera, and letting her play with a couple of my lenses. Yes, I'm a bad influence. I also have her rather intrigued by the K-5, but she'd like the chance to handle one in person (or a K-7) to see how she feels about the size, weight etc. If there's anyone with one in, or near Sac, or going to be passing through that area, that could let her check it out, she'd really appreciate it.
I've cc'd her on this email, to make it possible for you to contact her directly. Doing some stuff with the K2000 really helped me appreciate my K-x. The user interface of the K-x seems to be way beyond that of the K2000. I couldn't find how to activate "the green button" on it, or to turn off the info screen so that it didn't go through batteries like the PDML through cormorant puns. I did notice that she's running firmware 1.00 and the latest is 1.10, but I don't know what the differences are. It was rather odd seeing two "little stormtroopers" in the same place. I kept doing double takes because I'm not used to seeing anyone else with a camera that looks like my K-x. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
