I don't know. I think on the web I can get information about every mission my 
father flew on -- who was in the crew, what they were carrying, when the were 
scheduled to take off, etc., etc. 

My father was awarded a couple of medals. I thought nothing of it -- until my 
newly discovered nephew sent me an article written by the tail gunner on his 
crew, recounting his experience from enlistment to discharge. There were some 
pretty dramatic details of their combat experience. Now I wonder what those 
medals were for. I'll bet I find out.
