I also wish the focus point was the same. Other than the color balance/rendition I think the most noticeable difference is in the fine branches in the middle of the image. Before someone pointed out the focus point difference, I had assumed that it was highlighting the K-5's superior resolution at the sensor (16.3 MP to 14.6 MP). But the focus difference could account for at least some of what we're seeing.
As an aside, the biggest downside to the K-5 seems to be the combination of larger (14 bit) RAW files and hence much lower burst depth before the buffer fills (22 full-resolution best-quality JPGs compared to the K-7's 40 - and for RAW shooters the difference is even more dramatic (K-5: 8, K-r: 12, K-7: 15). So if you are a continuous action shooter, this is a bit of a red flag for the 14 bit, K-5.
