Sony have an Alpha-to-NEX adapter that does this (auto stop down) so it's possible. AF for SDM lenses should also be possible. AF for screwmount lenses won't be possible and they'll have to be used in manual focus. I don't see an issue with this--auto diaphragm stop down is much more important IMHO than AF. If Pentax don't release this adapter with the camera, they might as well not release the camera at all. If they are smart about marketing they will offer the adapter as a kit with the camera for a reduced price.
