Hmmmm. Using Firefox 3.6.12 with g-mail doesn't produce a warning like that for me when accessing through the browser. Thunderbird client does have that function. You can disable it in T-bird...Tools->Options->Composition->General tab, then uncheck "Check for missing attachments".
