Ecke, for this thing to work there has to be (almost?) accurate eye contact. Wifi and BT take care of this limitation rather nicely. I am also unsure as to the connection speed/rate that IR can provide. But it is all moot until it clears out whether the protocol Pentax indicated is used by anything other than Pentax themselves.
