Dave, I didn't catch on to 'panelbeaters' being what we call auto 'bodyshops' here until my second view of the pictures. Ann's comments are very appropriate. You did a good photo essay and I recognized locations from our brief visit several years ago. I still remember the hotel on the square, the Clarion House (??). I remember wondering about earthquakes at the time as a main structural element ran across the hotel room directly above the bed. It would be very unnerving to spend nights alone during this crisis.
