The army and navy don't have any really big guns anymore, guns are
passe. Missals are the wave of the future, no smoke rings but lots of
lovely fire...

along with the smoke ring. The biggest smoke ring I've ever seen must
have been 20m or more across before it broke up, from the 16" (~400mm)
main guns on a battleship.
