Well, there is no Santa ... This business about "enabling" everybody is
ridiculous.  While there may be some valid reasons for some people to
make a long term investment in a camera without ever having seen one, in
general I believe it's a piss poor idea. For starters, the camera is big
and bulky, and it just may not be easy or comfortable for Kathy to use. 
The feature set or implementation may not be to her liking.  To buy such
a personal tool without "trying it on" could be a mistake.  Of course,
if the camera's not to Kathy's liking, she can always sell it to some
other list member, probably at a loss, or return it to the seller at a
cost in time and money, and start her search anew.

Of course, if there's no other way for Kathy to try out the camera, then
she's got to order it over the 'net or through mail order, and I
understand that.
