How about trying a small mixer? Soundcraft used to make a 4 input one. Get a
mini jack to 2 x .25" jack breakout lead and feed into 2 mono line in
inputs. Pan both to the centre, bring the output to the same level and the
output will give a mono mix. I've used this on our bigger mixer to feed a
stereo source into one speaker. The spirit one, I think provides a TRS .25"
jack balanced output so you'd need a balanced .25" - XLR lead.
