don't know if you're already familiar with it, but you might enjoy the book Winterreise by the Magnum photographer Luc Delahaye. It's a document of some time he spent in Russia, and includes a wonderful sequence of blurry photos shot from a moving train travelling through the taiga. I shot something similar sitting in the open doorway of a 'personal' train travelling in Northern Romania a few years ago, inspired by Delahaye.
