I did this once before and it worked, but it was a few years ago.
I made a slide show, with music of the wedding shots in iMovie HD. It
says to "share" to iDvd which i have. I dropped and dragged the file
as it says, but when i go to burn the project, it asks me to add the
file, which i did, but all i get is a file on the dvd of 124k and it
won't open or do anything.
I know I'm missing a step or possibly two here, any offers of help.

It's fairly fresh in my mind from having just had to do a multimedia
presentation for my Small Format class. Due date was yesterday and I did
manage to get mine turned in on time.
We used iMovieHD, which I think is the newer version.
The process we used -
Gather photos to be used and open them all in iPhoto and export as an
"Album", resizing all to 1024 px on the long side.
Select the audio to be used. It can be mp3 or wav file ... or you can
record directly in iMovie.
Open iMovie & import the "Album" you created with iPhoto. Drag and drop
the audio track into the project and adjust the timings for the photos
so they sync with your audio track.
When you think you've got what you want, select "share" and "quicktime"
... saving to the desktop. Double-click the resulting .mov file to play
& verify the movie works.
Then go back into iMovie and select "share" and "iDVD". It should launch
iDVD. You just have to select your theme; edit the buttons (make it say
"Play" & give it the title you want) & drag and drop an image into the
preview pane.
When you click on the button that looks like a closed iris, it should
automagically render the slideshow, prompt you to load a blank DVD and
finish the entire project off for you.
If thatt doesn't work, I don't know what to do then.
