It would be nice if such a group existed, but like most idealistic utopias, there are many, many, structural challenges.
It would, indeed. My experience has been that a working "bare knuckle" group is far more likely to meet physically than electronically. I wish it weren't so, because it's getting harder and harder to collect a group like that in meatspace.
