Interesting. We've just nabbed a 70-200mm f/4 L USM for Stef's 1D so he can concentrate in sport. The choice of wide zooms is very limited for 1.3 crop and full frame bodies in the Canon range. basically it would be a 17-40 f/4 L so I was going to ask about 3rd party wide zooms.
