Protective mimcry is your friend. One year, before I was getting official media passes to events, I was down at Laguna Seca for one of the CART/Champ Car races. I was just outside the gate at turn 11 when one of the crash trucks came through with a car on the flatbed. I was waiting for the gate to close to cross the roadway when I guess the corner worker assumed that I was an authorised photographer and waved me through before he closed the gate. As this was about 40 minutes before the start of the main event I rapidly zipped through, and up to one of the photo holes, and waited. As I had two bodies (one with the 80-200 and one with a 300/2.8), and a Domke photo vest, I looked the part; all I was missing was the armband. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
