I'm not sure what kind of ducks they are, but they're quite pretty. I
missed the focus (manual focus lens) and I didn't have my monopod with
me, but I think it's kind of funny that they look like they're talking
about the big goose swimming away.
They chattered for a few seconds then one dove and then the other. It
was kind of cool.
Not the greatest of photos to be sure, but I've never shot any duck
other than a mallard before.

Nice shot. The two grebes were discussing the fact that they were always
being referred to as 'ducks' by trashy town folk who strayed onto the
waterfront ;-)

Frank, Cotty has corectly Id'ed them birdies...
cute shot, even if soft, etc...
Dont feel bad about calling them ducks (well, I'm sure you don't anyway)
about 30 years ago I
got a nice grebe shot out in California and at the time incorrectly
id'ed him as (gasp) a cormorant!
oh, the shame!
