You mean the little open/close thingy for the SD card slot?
Canon FD lenses, (pre EOS) used a "breach lock" system to mount their
lenses, but it's not funny if you have to explain the joke.
However it got even more bizarre when they modified the breach lock
system to /look/ like a bayonet lens mount system...
