Slow continuous shooting

I used continuous shooting with my K-x for the first time for a while and it 
takes a couple of shots then pauses for a few seconds then takes 1 more. 
It's the same with JPG, DNG and PEF. Is there a setting I could have changed 
accidently to slow down the shooting. It's much slower than it was the last 
time I used continuous shooting.
