This most likely uses the Panasonic multiformat sensor which can shoot
16:9, 3:2 and 4:3 all with the same diagonal and pixel count, or a
dedicated 16:9 variant. Note the 4:3 aspect ratio is not actually a
requirement of the 4/3rds spec (the ~21mm diagonal however is a
requirement).
