Shocking everyone that I actually can take advice, I decided to take
some of the critizism to heart. Below is the revised version. Once
you've got a PSD file of the necessary important layers, tis easy to
make revisions.

Equipment Same as before.
Notes: Same technique, but I downplayed the green layer. Added more
blur layers and eased the transitions between each of them and the
background.
