To be honest I was wondering why someone would post an image like that - so dark, it had to be a mistake - made me have a look at it in CS2 & the histogram. Glad it was just a simple error.

The raw conversion settings were indeed off.  the white balance was set
to "None" which obviously did not help and a couple others were not
where i remember putting them.

this is the shot as converted by the new settings:

maybe a bit bright but will see what i can do about fine tuning.
