But trust us. There is not  a flake of snow in the leaf shot. The  
leaves are rimmed with  hoarfrost, as are some of the raised bumps on  
the leaves and  twigs.

Hoarfrost - a grayish-white crystalline deposit of frozen water  vapor  
formed in clear still weather on vegetation, fences,  etc..   Photos

Well, if  so, re frost, first time I've ever seen it there, like that. Not 
just in a patch  here and there, but covering everything. When I took the 
leaf shots things had  already melted a bit. Anyway, thanks for the info., 
whatever it was happened the  day after (night after) the heavy snow fall. 
(Trying to find a picture of my  backyard with all the snow that isn't just a 
snapshot, something worth showing.  Maybe I will just include it with another 
PESO to prove we had snow.  Heh.)
