Yeah, the Big Dipper was a roller coaster in the Battersea Fun Fair
(amusement park) in London. Some time in the 1970's it had an accident
that killed several people... just two weeks after I rode on it, IIRC.

Sadly, the whole amusement park is gone now. I did run a very nice
10-mile race in that park a few years ago, though.
