It does. My MacBook Pro Apple warranty booklet gives a list if limitations to the warranty: --------------------------------------------------- b. Limitations. The Plan does not cover: (ii) Damage to the covered equipment caused by accident, abuse, neglect, misuse (including faulty installation, repair or maintenance by anyone other than Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider), unauthorized modification, extreme environment (including extreme temperature or humidity), extreme physical or electrical stress or interference, fluctuation or surges of electrical power, lightning, static electricity, fire, acts of God, or other external causes. ---------------------------------------------------- =========== Not really. Most smokers will not read that and see "cannot be used in a smoking environment." Especially since not all that long ago smoking was common place in many offices, and still is in some places (where people sneak). Extreme temperature or humidity does say extreme smoke. Marnie I used to smoke around my computers with no problem. Of course I went in and blew dust out of the chassis on a regular basis -- smoking helps build up dust. Now I smoke strictly outside. --------------------------------------------- We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.
