I don't mind your shadow being there. Without it the photo is just another not very special stereotype of someone who appears to have fallen on hard times. With it, you can read it as some sort of comment about photographers, their choice of subject matter and the relationship between the photographer and the subject. Whether that was your intention or not is a different matter.
