I've been thinking about this colour thing for a bit too. Pink isn't my favourite either... :-)
But today there's already a well-established aftermarket for skinning both cameras and lenses. Most oldtimers on the list will remember the snake-skin leatherette varieties applied to the LX (César, are you reading?), and in nature photo circles it's very common to have the big lenses wallpapered with some kind of camo pattern. Pentax could have a little gimmick there, seriously. If you extrapolate this, less seriously, Pentax could in fact design entire colour schemes for different types of photography. We already know the Swarowski crystal variant; could be destined for celebrity phography. _By_ celebreties, of course. The arctic stormtrooper variant has also found its niche already. Could be a time-limited option though, all the while the polar ice caps melt away. Bright orange for sports, to max the ad effect whenever the camera is caught on video. Concrete and asphalt camo for street photographers? Other suggestions? :-) Jostein 2009/9/28 Bertil Holmberg <[email protected]>: > Just had another look at the Japanese K-x color chooser - > http://www.camera-pentax.jp/k-x/#/simulator/060103 > The premier version did not include a lens choice.
