Nice and very fitting sunset moment. Maybe the fire caused pine cones to burst 
thus scattering the seeds of their next generation and sunlight can now reach 
the forest floor and new growth flourish....
Still sad, I agree.
A bit of a nit, but I'd have to take a look at a slightly lightened foreground. 
It needs a somber feel, no question.
