I was only going to watch a few passages here and there, thinking
that over 8 minutes might get a bit tedious. I ended up watching

I found these in the comments on YouTube:
Sand artist, Kseniya Simonova, who moved audiences to tears as she
won Ukraines Got Talent... drew a series of pictures on an
illuminated sand table showing how ordinary people were affected by
the German invasion during World War II.... The Great Patriotic War,
as it is called in Ukraine, resulted in one in four of the
population being killed with eight to 11 million deaths out of a
population of 42 million."
She creates a scene of a couple sitting on a bench under a starry
sky, but war planes appear and happiness is obliterated. It is
replaced by a woman crying, but a baby arrives and she smiles again.
War returns and the artist throws sand into chaos, but a young womans
face appears. Too soon a widow, her face wrinkled and sad, before the
image turns into a monument to an Unknown Soldier. Finally a
mother/child appear inside, a man outside, with hands pressed against
the glass, saying goodbye.
It's an incredibly moving piece; the music as well as the images. It
really got to me.
I think words at the end are: "1945 Ты всегда близки".
I used Wikipedia's Russian alphabet to figure out the cursive letters
and Windows Character Map to get the Unicode Cyrillic font, then fed
what I thought the words were into BabelFish until I got something out
that made sense.
BabelFish translates it as "You is always close" ...
Variously - You are always close to me/You are with me forever/You will
always be next to me/You are always by my side ???
Figuratively, the mother saying to the child's dead father - "You will
always be with us."
More figuratively, as a nation, "We will never forget you."
