I have ongoing difficulties with the sunshade on my FA31 being optimized for 35mm not APS, so I just emulated the sunshade for my DA40 using stacked stepdown rings.
I'd love it if Pentax (or someone) would make sunshades on the same design as the DA40 shade that step down to a common 49mm thread, spaced out the proper distance from the lens to not vignette based on focal length. -- The first step is learning to take great photos, the second step is learning to throw away ones that are merely good.
