I'm sure Leica is trying hard to avoid getting eaten.  I don't think
they're going to succeed particularly well.

Is it known for sure there's no Panasonic involvement in the image
processing engines outside of the D and P&S systems?  The S2 specs are
rather better than I recall PhaseOne managing to do.  Could be faulty
memory or PhaseOne being more price sensitive.

I'm pretty sure Leica isn't going to be turning down effectively free
money, so I'd figure those are good rumours.
