I will agree with Bruce on the 100-300 mm F4.0 Simga, as I have the same lens only in Nikon mount and it works very good. But I always use it on manual focus..

It is excellent - has even more reach than the Pentax 60-250 at the same speed. It also has Internal zoom/focus so the lens never changes length or balance - works very well.
