MS is in the process of dropping support for XP. Expect consumer
support to be gone this fall when Windows 7 launches and coporate
support in the next year or so.

Vista's significantly better with high-memory machines anyways. Just
be sure to disable the ReadyBoost and WIndows Indexing services. Kill
the Themes service and it'll look much like Win2k as well.
