Windex or other similar products are OK as long as they don't contain any additives (anti-fogging etc.). Most of the smudge is usually softener evaporating out of the plastic the cabinet is made of during the first few months after purchase and once it has been wiped off there's no need to repeat the exercise for a long time unless you are a heavy smoker.
