I just got a copy of Herbert Keppler's book The Honeywell Pentax Way, 8th
edition--1974. The 1st edition was published in 1966; I believe I was 6
years old when this book came out. Anyway, if anyone going to GFM wants to
see it, I'll bring it with me, but if there are no requests, I'll leave it
home.
I can't wait for GFM--I am so ready to get out on the road, I can barely
stand it. I want to drive fast and play my iPod at an ear-drum deafening
volume. I want to have cheeseburger deluxes at greasy truck stops. I want
the wind to blow hard on the open road. I want to buy cheap gas and cheap
cigarettes. And I want to snuggle up to my husband in shady road-side
motels. Ah, travel--don't ya'just love it!
Also, I just started William Least Heat-Moon's book "Roads to Quoz: An
American Mosey." Looks like it might be as good as his 1st book "Blue
Highways." Heat-Moon did the portraits in his "Blue Highways" book as
well--They're pretty cool--definitely worth a look-see.
Cheers, Christine
