I've tried to think of things that you haven't checked that could cause this, but I'm at a loss. My first guess would have been your signature file. My second would have been something an outbound anti-virus check did on your end or a proxy or forwarder did on the way through.
Hey, here's something that just occurred to me. Log into gate.net's web mail and check your settings there. Maybe something goofy happens as it forwards through your ISP's mail server.
