Pal Jensen mentioned on that other forum that what Pentax has done is outsourced everything to do with digital compact cameras (which no longer make money), and is concentrating on DSLR development in house. I think the X-70 is an example of what we are going to see more and more of, which is cameras from different brand names based on the same platform. I believe there is a Nikon and Kodak camera which are much of a muchness with the X-70.
