One thing dogs love is attention. They like being groomed, the more time
spent the better as far as the dog is concerned, because they have someone's
undivided attention while it's happening. The dye jobs are, as far as the
dog cares, just more of what they like.
Then they get taken out in public where more people pay more attention to
them because they are even cuter than they would normally be, and they like
that too.
It's a win win situation for the dogs.
