I read many things on DPReview from experienced and respectable dudes who know what they're talking about... all mentioning consistent -1.0 EV exposures with the KatzEye (can't remember if it was with or without OptiBrite) - when using the KatzEye screen which was designed for the DS.

Everything I've read/heard about the KatzEye *which is designed for the K10/20D* has said that exposure is not affected (at least not significantly).

Call me foolish or ignorant, but I swapped the KatzEye from my DS into my K10D and haven't noticed any problems. I'll wager it's a matter of whatever exposure wackiness it causes not being significant for me to notice. I'm not a pro - and while I have standards, they are probably much more relaxed than those who had noticed the problem.

Maybe, Tim, you should just give it a shot. I would bet that if you decided you didn't like it, you could easily re-sell it for very near your cost.
