Surely, and that's true of any business. However, one of the important things that a lot of smaller businesses overlook is that some customers are too expensive to keep. You lose on the back end more than you gain on the front end, sometimes many times over. The trick is (a) spotting them and (b) being in financial condition to tell them to take a hike.

Well, yeah, that's why my other point was to make sure you got paid in advance.
