We're only allowed to bring back 24 beer per person back into Canada from the US (after a visit of at least 72 hours). Last time I crossed the border in Dave's truck coming back from GFM, we had the following conversation with an unusually friendly crossing guard: Guard: Purpose of visit? Dave: Camping with a bunch of friends. Guard: How long have you been down? Dave: Since Wednesday. Guard: Anything to declare? Cigarettes? Dave: No tobacco. Guard: Alcohol? Dave: Our cooler was the biggest so everyone threw their beer in it. I think we have about 48 or 50 "leftovers" in the cooller. Guard (big smile on her face): You mean ~exactly~ 48 beers, don't you? Dave (big smile on his face): Yup! Guard: That's all, guys, have a great evening! I believe we were smiling like Cheshire Cats as we drove away... ;-) cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
