I know rechargeable 2CR5s do not have a stellar reputation. But I have a PZ-1 and a Hexar AF that I occasionally take out for a spin. Disappointment and tantrums arise when what I thought was a semi-full 2CR5 turns out to be not.
So I tried a rechargeable lithium solution from a local seller on well known auction site. The first battery and charger was dodgey as. After a full charge, it promptly locked up the mirror after the one shot. I needed to put in the 2CR5 to get it to reset. Trusting soul that I am, the seller persuaded me to buy a second battery, and if that was ok, I could return the first, for a full refund.
The second battery works out fine. Admittedly, I haven't banged away at it in full, but I think it will be ok for the odd days I want to get funky with the Sigma 8mm fishy. Or do some DA lens testing on full frame.
Still haven't got my refund for the first battery. So the moral of the story, see if you can try before you buy. If nothing else, what I've spent so far is the cost of two non-rechargeables.
