Hi Everyone:
As I mentioned in another post, I was designated photog at a family
gathering yesterday which took place at the Dupage Inn in Downers Grove,
Ill. As soon as this sweet couple walked in, I couldn't take my eyes off
of
them. My husband has affectionately named pic 1 Dupage Inn Gothic, which
is
our favorite of the 2. I posted pic 2 for a broader view. The DA f4
16-45mm & 360 Pentax flash did pretty well yesterday. Yesterday was
mostly
low-light auto focusing, which was a challenge at times,, but I've pruned
the pics & pitched about 30 & have about 100 pics. All were converted to
bw. In some pics the flash is a bit too hot, but converting to bw did
help
minimize this a bit. It was really tough to get non-distracting
backgrounds. There were big screen tvs everywhere etc etc. I even had
to
crop a vacuum cleaner out of one pic. Anyway . . .

I like #1. Much more intimate. The light's harsh, but it works here.
Very good shot!
cheers,
frank
