Don't I know that. I'm reading the PDML on a borrowed system since an "experiment" crippled my primary desktop. Remember even commercial software can destroy a working computer. I'm unable to find my install disk for W2K server and further destruction, err I mean diagnostics and repair, requires the the Win2K "Repair Console". A friend has a copy of Win2K professional which should be good enough, but we've been unable to connect. I'm loath to upgrade to even WinXP as the machine I'm trying to repair is more than capable of what I need, and with and Win2K is blazingly fast compared to similar hardware with WinXP or Vista installed. I can't really monkey with this machine and try to install a better player and the necessary codecs because I have to give it back some day and I'd like to not have to do too much to put it back in it's original condition.
