Having seen a used DP1 (and tried it), it has most of the drawbacks of an old compact, the current lot are much better cameras than the DP1 apart from the sensor. It's very slow, very unresponsive, the LCD sucks (an issue when that's your only viewfinder) and generally poor handling. Sigma's managed to come up with a P&S that's less competitive than its SLR line (and that's something since the Sigma SLR's make the Pentax MZ-series seem like the pinnacle of technology) -- M.
